The game between BROTHERS and GLADSTONE went as expected, the home side cruising to a massive 101 point victory.
Brothers controlled the game from the beginning, not allowing Gladstone a goal in the opening term whilst kicking five themselves. They continued this domination throughout the match, winning all around the ground and most importantly controlling the middle.
Aiden Colbourne continued his sparkling form kicking another 12 goals, yet there were a number of other players who were arguably just as important on the weekend. With David Brady and John Sleaford still to return to the side, the Brothers team will be very difficult to beat for the remainder of the year.
YEPPOON were too strong for BITS, who were defeated by 28 points at home. BITS would have liked their chances prior to the game, Yeppoon struggling with form and injury. However, the Swans proved to everyone why they have been one of the best teams in the competition over the last couple of years, leading at every change to win comfortably in the end.
John Beirouti kicked 3 goals at full forward for BITS, yet it was Yeppoon who had ten different goal kickers that found it easier to find an avenue to goal.
The final game of the round had the PANTHERS pull off a remarkable victory, trailing all day to only storm home and defeat GLENMORE by six points.
Glenmore led by five goals at half time and whilst Panthers lifted in the third quarter, the Bulls still held a 27 point lead heading into the final term. However, led by five goals to Joel Ralph in the final quarter, the Panthers managed to steal the game away from a devastated Bulls team.
The win is the third in a row for the Panthers whilst it also takes them off the bottom of the ladder for the first time this year.
