BITS and PANTHERS contested a high quality game on the weekend, BITS finishing the better of the two sides to take out the game by 19 points.
The Panthers got off to a flying start, kicking six goals to two in the opening term. Having established a 28 point break at quarter time, it looked as though the Panthers may once again be too good for BITS. However, they dug deep and managed to reduce the margin to just 11 points at the main break, not allowing the Panthers to kick a goal in the second term.
In a very tight third quarter neither team was prepared to back down. Although BITS started to find more of the football, Panthers still held the lead at the final change, 7 points up entering the last quarter. BITS were the team that finished the game running, they hit the front half way through the last quarter and didn't look back.
John Beirouti kicked six for BITS, with an even contribution from both sides.
FINAL SCORES
BITS 12.7 (79) defeated Panthers 8.12 (60)
