Round 6 of the trend interiors AFL Capricornia season was completed last week end with three sides BITS, Panthers and Gladstone all recording big wins and making a statment for their premiership aspirations at this early stage of the season.
In the AFL Capricornia match of the round the Gladstone Mudcrabs proved far to strong for the Yeppoon Swans at Clinton Park running out impresssive 10 goal winners. After a tight first quater the Muddies hit top gear completley dominating the game for the remaining three quaters. Mudcrab Aaren Barrett was unstpable kicking seven goals for the victors while for the Swans young gun Daniel Watkin was in fine form. After the win the Muddies jump the Swans up to 2nd spot on the ladder.
In the other game played down in the Port Curtis region for the wekend the BITS Saints hosted the Roos in a replay of last years grand final. The result was a massive blow out with the Saints completley out classing the Roos by 202 points in a match the Saints had to win to kick start their season. Brothers who traditionally strugle to travel to Boyne Island were best served by club stalwart Roy West, Michael Moore and Darryl Newsome. The Saints generated plenty of drive through midfielders Daniel Boase and Luccas Hall who set up numerous attacking raids.
In the final game for the week the Panhers hosted rivals the Glenmore Bulls in the local Rockhampton show down at the RCG. In a tough and some times fiery game the Panthers eventually gained control of the game through the hard work of their defence who kept the Glenmore forwards under control to only 1 goal for the day.On the back of the effort of their defence the Panthers ran out 84 point winners, for the Bulls Will Van Wavaren and Greg Smith were among their best while for the Panthers Clinton Sutton and Barry Morris were solid contributors.

This weeks round 7 matchs see the Glenmore Bulls hosting Brothers at Stenake Park in a match both sides will be desperate to win to get their seasons back on track, In other games the Swans travel down the highway to tackle the Saints at home in a game that promises to be tight contest if it is anything like their round 2 match up. In the final game of the week which is also match of the round the top of the table Panthers host the second placed Muddies at the RCG.
