The last round of the home and away season, a lot can still change in the way teams stand next week in the first round of finals . . . .
BITS Vs Gladstone
These two teams have both lost and won against each other this year and today the Port Curtis derby will be fiery as ever. Playing at the Saints home ground the atmosphere will be alight come the main game at 2pm. BITS and Gladstone could very well be playing each other in the AFL Capricornia Grand Final in a few weeks time. Both sides have hardly any faults over the ground; it will be interesting to see who wins the battle in the midfield today. There have been only a couple of goals between the two this year and I’m predicting it’ll be even closer on the scoreboard when the fat lady sings for the last time today.
BITS by 4 points.
Brothers Vs Glenmore
The Bulls and Roos have played each other in round fifteen over the last few years; it is a tribute game to remember those players who have past from both clubs. More appropriately for Tony Clifford, the founder of Brothers Roos AFC, Tony’s son Wayne said “It is always an emotional time for all at Brothers land, we use dads name for an avenue to not only remember him, but all players who we have lost at Brothers, whilst respecting those past players from the Bulls, it is a terrific day which brings both clubs together”. Brothers are also celebrating their 30th reunion this weekend, “We’re expecting 150 past players and supporters to the game today, most who have flown in for the reunion festivities tonight”. The Roos are winless this season and with one game left the boys will be sure to leave nothing left in the tank. Glenmore are sure to play finals, but are not yet sure which finals game they will be playing. With both Glenmore, BITS and Gladstone very close on points and percentage, a win today could leave them top two and give the lads a much needed week off next week. With the Bulls still injury ridden and the Roos playing with nothing to lose it could be a very interesting day down at Kele Park.

Panthers Vs Yeppoon
Panthers and Yeppoon have been battling to keep their finals hopes alive. Today’s game will be pivotal to both sides ensure they get a chance to play finals next week. This will be another great clash with a close final score. Yeppoon have had a couple of wins in a row coming into the tail end of the season, with a very young skilful and running side the panthers will have their work cut out for them. The Panthers have been unpredictable this year and run themselves into form out of the blue.
Panthers by 2 Goals.
