Welcome from Netball Wairarapa Executive to all who have endeavored to participate in the 2006 netball season. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome and thank all the coaches, managers and team support who have been willing to take on these responsibilities, we wish you all a enjoyable and successful season.

This year, there is a desperate shortage of qualified umpires and it will not be possible to have the benefit of having "whites" to most grades. It is extremely important that club team players and school teams take steps to upgrade and support those who will be performing the umpiring duties for their teams. It may well be, that teams will have to umpire their own games, and if an umpire is not provided by a team, then that team will have to play short on their next scheduled game.

Netball Wairarapa are always conscious of and are grateful to the many supporters of netball, however, there is always a very small minority who are unable to support in a positive manner. Netball Wairarapa have a no tolerance policy for negative behaviour and will deal with any in the appropriate manner. Please remember that all umpires are volunteers and deserve respect.

Netball Wairarapa is fortunate to have supportive sponsors and wish to thank them for their help and encouragement. Without all our sponsors we would not be able to provide all that is necessary to ensure you enjoy the sport, please support them whenever you can.

On a personal note, I wish to thank all the Netball Wairarapa Executive for their commitment and passion for netball. Volunteers are not easy to attract as we have may other commitments in life and it is difficult to spread our time around so many things.
