Overview:
Coffs Harbour Basketball Association Inc is a progressive and well managed basketball association servicing the Coffs Harbour area on the mid north coast of NSW.
The association conducts domestic competitions for primary school, high school and senior players and has a strong referee development program. There is a representative program for players from under 12’s through to State league men and women.
Coffs Harbour Basketball’s Board of Management is welcoming applications from suitably qualified people for the contracted, part-time position of General Manager.
The Position:
- A 12 month contract position, 4 days per week (30 hours per week)
- 40 weeks per year, based loosely around the school term calendar
- Flexibility to change hours and days of work as needed
Essential Criteria:
- Must have a strong and contemporary knowledge of basketball administration
- Must have previous sports management experience
- Must have previous staff management experience
- Must have previous financial management experience
- Must have an ABN and be eligible to work in Australia
Job Description:
- To supervise and manage all staff and report staff performance to Board of Management
- To recruit and service sponsors
- To establish a calendar of events and to synchronise all association activities to the calendar
- To monitor the health of the competitions and to actively recruit players for competitions
- To manage the finances of the association from data entry through to management reporting
- To manage the association’s media profile
- To oversee the junior and senior representative program
- To provide management and administrative support to the Board of Management
Contract Fee:
- The contract fee will be negotiated on interview with the successful candidate
