Narrogin International Rules Basketball Association Inc (NIRBA) was established on the 7th March 1972.  The objects of the Association as set out in the Constitution are to - (a) promote the sport of Basketball in Western Australia, (b) establish and maintian friendly co-operation between other Associations, (c) to provide instruction to members, (d) to enter and engage in Championships with other Associations, (e) to engage in social activities and (f) to generally further the enjoyment of the sport of Basketball. 

The Association has a proud history and has had significant success over the years in the BasketballWA Country Championships and other Inter Association events.
