Riyadi start the season with a Title
Riyadi â Beirut started the season with another trophy which will be added to its records.
The Final of the Hariri Tournament was a very exciting and full of intensity till its last seconds .
Riyadi who had a very easy road to the final , missed Nate Johnson who was injured in the semi Final against Sporting from Egypt .
On the other side Sila from Morocco had a very good record in the tournament with one loss against Moutahed in the first round.
In the first half Sila had the advantage by the athleticism of its players, who were controlling the game on the open court and on the boards.On the other side Fadi Khatib was left alone to answer .
In the second half Riyadi made a big move by making Joe Vogel participate in the game , Joe who was injured since late June with the National Team didnât had any minute in the Tournament. The presence of Joe made Riyadi more organized and especially on Defense but Sila Team regrouped and tied the game in the end on the score of 68-68 to send the game to an overtime .
In the overtime the same scenario continued till the last 24 seconds when Joe Vogel scored a very crucial 3pts basket that gave the win to Riyadi on the score 73-71.
