Lebanon recorded its second win in its fist participation in the Jones cup , the first win came against Iran on the score of 80-71 , it was first game for the Lebanese National Team under the supervision of coach Dragan Raca, the tem played the game with the absence of the two key players Joseph Vogel and Brian Feghali , but the team's captain Fady Khatib proved again his big reputation of one the best players in Asia and led the team to a big win over Iran , Khatib finished the game with 35points , Omar Turk had an excellent shooting with 5 3pinters made in the game .

In its  second game Lebanon had to face the strong Philippines National Team who last year recorded two wins against the Lebanese National Team in the Philippines before heading to the World Championship in Japan.

The Lebanese National Team welcomed back Joe Vogel in this game with still the absence of Brian Feghali , Lebanon had a very strong game and the Philippines had throughout the game a small lead which was reduced by the strong come back of the Lebanese players  , Lebanon had a big fourth quarter and outscored the Philippines 21 to 10 , Rony Fhaed sealed the game with a buzzer beater 3oint shot made to give the win to Lebanon on the score of 65-62.
