Lebanon in the Semi Final to face the Philippines
In the 6th day of the 3rd FIBA – Asia Stankovic Cup Lebanon secured its place in the semi final after beating Kazakhstan on the sc ore of 101-50. Lebanon had a rocket start and finished the first quarter 38-7. The remaining quarters saw the dominance of Lebanon who cruised in the end to a big win 101-50.
In other games from the quarter final round, Qatar had a good game against Chinese Taipei and Imposed its rhythm on the game which led a very important win on the score 86-78.
On the other side The Philippines scored a crucial win against Iran on the score of 79-67 to move to the semi finals .
In the last game of the day Japan created a big upset after managing to dethrone the champion Jordan on the score of 94-80. Jordan who led in the beginning lost the rhythm in the 3rd quarter which gave the Japanese the lead and secured them a very precious win which sent them to the semi final.
