Lebanon finished 2nd in the Jones Cup
Lebanon finished its participation in the Jones Cup with 5-1 record and in the second place. Lebanon beat the Philippines in its last game 73:62, after trailing the first 3 quarters Lebanon prevailed through Ghaleb Reda who led the come back by scoring 8 consecutive points which reduced the score to 3 points at the end of the 3d quarter, in the 4th quarter the Elie Stephan Show started, he scored form everywhere from behind the arc , 5 3pointer which secured the win in the end on the score of 73-62. Elie Stephan finished the game with 17 points (5 from 7 3pointers).
Lebanon will meet the Philippines again in the first game of the 3d FIBA – Asia Stankovic Cup on August , this opener game is expected to be a very exciting one with the presence of the big Philippines community in Lebanon.
