The FLB Season 2008-2009 in launched

The much anticipated Season 2008-2009 is launched ,This season the excitement will be at its peak , all the teams started their preparations starting September due that the season will start in November 2008 for the first time since 4 years.

 

Riyadi Beirut – Anibal Zahle : 109-82

Riyadi – Beirut the champion for the pat 4 years who strengthen its roster  this year by the addition of Fadi El Khatib , Mohamad Ibrahim , Nate Johnson started its conquest to retain the title against Anibal – Zahle who added new players to its roster , Alvin Simms , Jihad El Murr .Riyadi dominated the game from its first minutes and created a comfortable margin throughout all the minutes of the game , and scored the first win of the season on the score of 109-82.

Anibal Zahle: Alvin Simms (36pts)

 

Antranik Beirut – Sagesse Beirut: 66-81

The second game of the new season , saw in action Antranik – Beirut to Sagesse – Beirut, The game was full of excitement throughout the game. Sagesse took the lead in the second quarter till the end of the game , Antranik had a starong comeback in the second half and reduce the score but the big experience of Sagesse players prevailed in the end on the score 81-66.

Best Scorers :

Antranik Beirut: Micheal Fraser (28pts)

Sagesse Beirut: Sabah Khoury (26pts)

 

Moutahed – Kahraba: 87-56

The last game on Sunday  saw go in action Moutahed last year runner up against Kharaba who’s back into the first division after many years of absence. Moutahed  showed a very big level in this game and cruised into an easy win on the score of 87-56.

Moutahed: Anthony Williams (27pts)

Kahraba: Joseph Zaloum (11pts)
