Lebanon second in the Jones Cup
Lebanon in its first participation in the Jones Cup finished second ,with 6-3 record.
Lebanon's main goal from the participation was to create a chemistry in the team as a preparation for the big event FIBA Asia Men Championship which will be held in Japan.
Lebanon arrived to Taiwan with 9 players and they were joined by Ali Mahmoud and Joseph Vogel from the USA and Canada , as for Brina Feghali he joined the team on Monday July 9.
Lebanon managed to win 6 games and to loose 3 games one of them against Chinese Taipei 77-78 with overtime .
Lebanon had a great preparation period with its participation in the tournament , knowing that the coach didn't have in his plans a first place in the tournament , he had a bigger rotation in the games with a target to make all the players ready for Japan.
Lebanon now will travel to the Philippines to play in the 4 National Tournament with the participation of China , Syria , Philippines. After the tournament the team will stay in Manila till the 24th the date of departure to Japan.
