PURPOSE
Basketball is one of the Auckland regions’ growth sports with involvement at all levels from Primary and Intermediate Schools to Secondary Schools and Adults.
Basketball Auckland Inc is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated team member who is passionate about basketball and has the skills required to take the game to another level.
OBJECTIVES
1. Reporting to the General Manager, the Basketball Development Manager will be responsible for enhancing the delivery of basketball through recruitment and development programmes for coaches, players and referees.
2. Working with the General Manager and Venue Managers the successful applicant will ensure that the Basketball Auckland Association is working towards meeting the expectations of stakeholders and participants.
3. This will be a demanding but highly exciting position for a motivated individual who is looking for a role in developing the sport of basketball.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
You will have a basketball background and a broad range of knowledge gained from having either coached or played. Strong relationship skills are a must!
To succeed, you will be a strategic thinker with the ability to think outside the square as you work towards enhancing existing and establishing new development programmes.
