A disappointing loss in last year's grand final after a near perfect season as well as the loss of some key players may have sounded the death knell for Berwick's strong performances in recent years in the Footy-Pak South Eastern Youth Girls competition. New contenders, Noble Park, had dominated all but three games this year, and looked to be the clear favourites after claiming the minor premiership. Berwick, who snuck into the grand final after defeating the in-form Narre South by two points in the semi finals, appeared to click from the opening bounce whilst Noble Park's structures fell away. Berwick ran and carried the football and applied great pressure to win the contested football. In front of a large crowd, Noble Park worked hard, but it was Berwick's team work that was the difference. The end result saw Berwick claim the 2009 Footy-Pak South Eastern Youth Girls Cup by twenty-three points (7.2-3.3). Best on Ground was awarded to new Berwick recruit, Ellie Blackburn.
