Bendigo Youth Girls took their first on field steps towards their 2007 competition on Sunday when they played their first practice match. Teams from Eaglehawk and North Bendigo proudly donned their club jumpers for the first time in front of a vocal and engaged crowd who were heard cheering loudly for their daughters, sisters, cousins, neighbours and friends. The friendly, yet competition game was fought in the rain and mud, with Eaglehawk the victor.
The Bendigo Youth Girls are now looking forward to a preseason roadtrip to Melbourne to watch the Victorian Women's Football League Premier Division clash between St Albans and Melbourne University at Melbourne University.
