AFL Victoria will stage the inaugural Youth Girls Victorian Championship on Saturday June 9 2007 at 11am. The game, to be held at Casey Fields VFL ground in Cranbourne, will see the best players from each of the Western Bulldogs Forever Foundation competition and the Footy-Pak South East competition pitted against one another as they strive to be crowned Victorian champions.
All Youth Girls clubs are invited to encourage players to attend training as each team from the participating competitions will have at least one player selected to be a part of this historic match. Victorian selectors will use this as an opportunity to screen possible Under 19 Victorian representatives who will travel to Canberra for the senior AFL National Women's Football Championships in July.
