“A natural” – Hannah Gadsby (Spicks & Specks, Adam Hills in Gordon Street Tonight, Raw Comedy winner 2006)
"Bobby has already made her mark on the Melbourne comedy scene as one of the most promising up-and-comers around. Funny, vibrant and with a great connection to the audience. Am I predicting big things? You bet I am. Watch Bobby soar over the next few years" - Janet McLeod (Local Laughs St Kilda, Rove Live (Channel 10), The Club (Channel 7)
“One of the most brilliant and refreshing emerging talents I’ve seen to date” – Anthony Menchetti (inaugural Raw Comedy winner 1996)
The plaudits have flown thick and fast for one of Melbourne’s fastest rising comic talents – Bobby Macumber. Picking up the mic in humour for the first time in November 2010, Bobby’s list of achievements in such a short time are nothing short of stunning. A Raw Comedy state grand finalist, ensemble cast member of the sell-out season of the 2011 LOL Big Gay Comedy Night at Midsumma Festival, and a much anticipated debut solo show at this year’s Melbourne Fringe Festival are some highlights. Along the way Bobby has shared the stage with a who’s who of local and international talent – names such as Hanna Gadsby, Lawrence Mooney, Jeff Green (UK), Dave Thornton, Hung Le, Gab Rossi, Tommy Little and many more have given props to her natural, gut achingly funny, story-telling style. Meanwhile, Greg Fleet raves about her amazing stage presence. So how about it: can we get a “hell yeah” for Bobby?
