NB: As the emphasis is on participation and fun, you do not have to be a registered rower of any Australian club or state association!
Rowing Competition Information
1. The Order of Events allows most rowers to compete in all events of their own age category and up / down one level over the three days
2. All events are 1000m
3. Mixed Events (2x, 4x, 4+, 8+) will be held each day at the end of the morning and afternoon sessions
4. Novice Events (possibly 1x,2x,4x+,4+ for rowers who have never competed before) and Disrow Events (possibly 1x and 2x with at least one disabled rower) may be held if there is enough interest expressed - please email info@rowingsa.asn.au with detail of your interest
5. You do NOT have to be a registered rower within your state to participate in these games
6. Composite club entries are welcome
7. The sport entry fee of $65 allows each rower to race any number of races
8. The regatta will be conducted under the Rules and Regulations of Boat Racing of the SA Rowing Association www.rowingsa.asn.au
9. Where there are insufficient entries in one age category, the event will be combined with the adjacent age category and conducted on a handicap basis according to the handicapping system of the SA Rowing Association

A - minimum of 27 years old
B - 36 years old or more (average)
C - 43 years old or more (average)
D - 50 years old or more (average)
E - 55 years old or more (average)
F - 60 years old or more (average)
G - 65 years old or more (average)
H - 70 years old or more (average)
I - 75 years old or more (average)
J - 80 years old or more (average)
11. For the purposes of determining eligibility in any category, the age of the crew (excluding the coxswain) shall be calculated by dividing the total number of years of age of the crew by the number of members of the crew
12. As soon as entries close on Friday Sept 30th a DRAFT draw for the regatta will be published - where there are FREE LANES in heats or finals, entries will be open until Friday October 7th on a first come-first serve basis.
