A range of good results on Saturday has meant play-off chances for a number of North Canterbury basketball teams in the CBA club competition.

Club results and leading scorers were:

MU20A: North Canterbury 13th 77 (Canaan Tarawa 21, Jordan Mann 18, Solomon Tarawa 15) St Bedes-Checkers 4th 73. HT: 44-35. NC now plays Pioneer-Cashmere in the 1 v 8 Quarter-final this Saturday.

NC-Rangiora 7th 91(Jack Exeter 35, Lachlan MacFarlane 18, Caleb Cameron 12) Burnside-Checkers 10th 71. HT: 43-28. NC-Rangiora now plays Gators Green in the 3 v 6 Quarter-final this Saturday

BU17A Rangiora HS 58 (Jake Pascoe 10) Cashmere HS 55. HT: 27-25.

BU17Mid: North Canterbury 88 (Jayden Garrick 30, Caleb Williams 14) Christs Coll 53. HT: 46-26. NC now plays Papanui this Saturday in Semi-final

BU15A: Cashmere Maroon 119 NC One 103 (Jack Truscott 21, Thomas Barrett 16, James Leen 14, Wade McIntosh 13, Josh Doody 12). HT: 57-50.

BU15Dev: Burnside B 65 NC Two 54 (Lucas Kerry 13, Jonty McKenzie-Sheat 10). HT: 33-32. NC now plays Pioneer Blue in second life semi-final this Saturday

BU13: NC Maroon 69 (Korben Murray 14, Toby McConnon 14, Ty Nelson 10) NC White 55 (Jake Holmes 21, Logan Hammond 13). HT: 30-18. NC Maroon leads the grade unbeaten and plays Eastern, also unbeaten this Saturday. NC White in 3rd place has a bye.

MD1: Ballaz Black 72 North Canterbury 58 (Scott Edwards 17, Ricardo Pimenta 12).

WU21: Halswell 61 North Canterbury 51 (Caitlyn Woolman-Smith 10). HT: 34-24.

WU18 NC  Bye

Girls U15 QF1 v 2: North Canterbury One 67 (Ashlyn Rean 16) Gators White 32, QF 3 v 6: Checkers 60 North Canterbury Two 47 (Eva Robinson 21). HT: 31-26. North Canty One progresses to Semi-finals this Saturday.

Thomson Trophy Boys SS Div two: Papanui HS 86 Kaiapoi HS 79, St Thomas Coll 91 Rangiora NLS 39.

Whelan trophy SS Girls Div One top four: Ch Ch GHS 66 Kaiapoi HS 48, Bottom Four: MG Gators 64 Rangiora HS 40 (Helen Mathews 19, Sinead McConchie 17).
