The U15 National championship boys final was a fabulous game between two undefeated teams. Harbour had a very tough road to the final, with Waitakere West and ACM providing a stern test in the quarter and semi-finals. JAMES BLOND Rangers play @ AUT 27APRIL & 18MAY

Harbour has formed an NBL alliance with the James Blond Super City Rangers for 2014. Two games will be played this year at AUT in Akoranga Drive. On the 27 APRIL the James Blond Supercity Rangers take on the Wellington Saints, and on 18 MAY the James Blond Supercity Rangers take on the Canterbury Rams. Both games tip off at 3pmmore

As you all know, Harbour Basketball has just hosted the U17 BBNZ National Championships at the North Shore Events Centre and AUT from 17-20 July.

It was a classic 4 days of ‘age group’ basketball, with a total 38 teams from around the country competing for U17 Girls and Boys National honours.more

Basketball Pacific - Pacific Coast Slam

In the attachment is the organisation for the BBP Pacific trials to attend the Pacific Coast Slam in Port Macquarie, NSW.

The BBNZ proposal for the selection of age-group and Koru squads is focused around the selection of a small number of age-group players at each age-group, and their subsequent placement into the appropriate squad (NZ or Koru). This will help to make it much clearer for thosemore

It certainly was an exciting and close final between Dolphinz women and Bargets with Dolphinz being the champions ,winning by 6 points.

Whats happening this weekend??!!

This weekend(22nd/23rd June) sees alot of our Harbour teams playing at different venues accross Auckland.
We have competitions happening on Saturday and Sunday for the U15 and U17 teams that did not qualify for Nationals. This will see 14 teams compete in 2 days of tough basketball.
Saturdays games will be played at the NSEC and Sundays games will be played at the Breakers facility...more

Well done Tune Squad!!!

Congratulations to our Monday night social team winners Tune Squad. We have seen some great games over the last 11 weeks and it came down to the final between Tune Squad and DBC Cosmos. After an exciting game it was a very close result with Tune Squad coming out champs with a final score of 54-51.

Harbour U23's Men just too strong for the Australian College of Basketball

Harbour U23 men were just too strong when they met with the Australian Basketball College yesterday. The Aussies never gave up fighting in a game which saw Marco Alexander shoot 9 x '3' pointers to help the boys have a huge 104-52 victory over the Aussies.
All the Harbour U23 Men were strong and played exceptionally well..Well done boys!!!more

U17 Girls hoping for NZ call up...

Last weekend saw Georgia Perrott-Hunt and Zara Jillings travel to Porirua to partake in the U17 NZ trials. The team were entered into the WBC competition against the plate teams. Good luck girls we hope you get the call-soon!!more

A huge congratulatons to Harbour player Isaac Fotu who has been voted freshman of the year for the Big West conference for 2013. Isaac has been averaging 10 points,6.3 rebounds and leads the Hawai'i warriors with a 64.8% field goal percentage,this percentage also placing him in the top 7 in the whole NCAA competition.

Australian Youth Olympic Festival

We would like to wish Ella Fotu and Denhym Brooke our best wishes as they travel to Sydney to particiapate in the 2013 Australian Youth Olympic festival in 3x3 basketball.A great achievement.
The tournament has 1,700 competitors covering 17 sports from 30 nations and runs from the 16th-20th January.

Junior Jammers 2013 commences 2 February at the YMCA, Akoranga Drive.
