^{The 2009 NHBA Miniball competition come to an end last night with all final placing’s confirmed. The St Joes Inferno held of a competitive fight and can claim bragging rights as they beat their very own St Joes Breakers 19-8 in the Mixed League Gold Final. The Inferno’s have been the stand out team with another unbeaten semester.}

^{The Red League was the closet final it was between the Bayview Destroyers and the Upper Harbour Hawks. The game turned in favor early to the Destoyers who lead 6-2 at half time. But after a decision by the referee to sit a Destoyers player saw the Upper Harbour Hawks fight back to take 10-6 lead. The Destroyers fought back and tied the game 10-10 with less than a minute to go. Golden point didn’t last long as the Upper Harbour Hawks took full advantage winning the tip ball and getting a quick shot up whitch missed but the player got fouled and made the basket.}

^{Mixed League Blue was a one sided affair as the Belmont young shorts got off to a good start and outscored the Willow Park Blaze 8-2 in the first half. The second half was even with both teams scoring 4 points. The Belmont team has properly been the big improvers as the Blaze were unbeaten going into the finals so full credit to the Young Shorts.}
