Tickets on sale -Tall Blacks vs Australia Boomers

Tickets for the New Zealand Tall Blacks sole game on home hardwood have gone on sale via Ticketek.

Adult tickets for game two of the FIBA Oceania Championship for Men between the Tall Blacks and Australia Boomers at Wellington’s TSB Bank Arena range from $15-20, while children’s and students prices range from $10-20.

Family passes (two adults, two children) for the upstairs general admission at the 4400-seat Queen’s Wharf venue go for $40.

The Tall Blacks, coming off an eight-game European Tour, meet the Boomers, currently touring South America, in game one at the Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre on Sunday, August 23.

“Wellington has a great basketball tradition and the capital region has produced two of New Zealand’s five wins in history over Australia,” said Basketball New Zealand national teams general manager Grant Chapman.

New Zealand last played in Wellington against Venezuela in July 2007 and played the Boomers in their only home fixture in 2008, falling 75-60 at the North Shore Events Centre.

Tickets for game one of the FIBA Oceania Championship for Women between the New Zealand Tall Ferns and Australia Opals at Porirua’s Te Rauparaha Arena on Monday, August 31, will be available through Ticket Direct locations and website, www.ticketdirect.co.nz, soon.
