U15 Nationals Wellington Day 3

Both teams came away with a win on Day 3 of the BBNZ U15 National Tournament being held in Wellington this week.

The girls continued their unbeaten run scoring a nail biting 49-45 win over the hosts Wellington. The lead changed a number of times throughout the game but in the end the girls showed cool heads to maintain their lead in the final five minutes of the game. This takes them through an impressive top 4 spot in the tournament and on Day 4 they meet the huge Harbour association vying for a spot in the grand final.

Top scorer was Bayley Ransfield 18 (pictured left) and top rebounder was Cassie Jones with 8.

The boys also had 63-49 a win over Nelson to take them to the 9-12 pool for the tourney. On day 4 they meet up with North Canterbury playing for a spot in the 9-10 game on the final day of the tournament this Friday.

Scorers in double figures were Corbin Giddy 20, Baxter Fenwick 14 and Max Anderson 12. Leading rebounders were Nathan Morgan 21 and Baxter Fenwick 12.
