Wallace makes Tournament Team and Fenwick takes Spirit of Basketball Award.

NPBHS Captain Matt Wallace was named in the Tournament Team at the BBNZ National Secondary School Champs held in Palmerston North this week. After six days of competition, the Boys High team were placed fourth in the country behind three Auckland based school teams, Westlake, Auckland Grammar and winners Rosmini High. The last time this was achieved by a team from New Plymouth Boys was in 1989.

Lachie Fenwick also picked up the Church College award for playing in the Spirit of Basketball reflecting the way he conducted himself throughout the week.

Both Wallace and Fenwick have played together since their days at Devon Intermediate where they led their team at that time to a title at the AIMS (Intermediate Schools) National tournament in 2006.

NPBA is proud of their achievements at one of the highlights of the basketball calendar – the National Secondary School Tournament.
