AGE GROUPS for Boys & Girls:

Under 12: Term 4 Development Training; Term 1: Easter; Term 3: Mid-North Zone Day & Champs

Under 14: Term 4 Development Programme; Term 1: Easter; Term 3 Mid-North Zone Day & Champs; BBNZ Regionals

Under 16: Term 4 Development Programme; Term 1: Easter; Term 2 Mid-North Zone Day & Qualifiers; BBNZ Nationals

Under 18: Term 4 Development Squads; Term 1: Easter; Term 2 Mid-North Zone Day & Qualifiers; BBNZ Nationals

Under 20: Term 1: Easter; Mid-North Zone Day; Mid-North Qualifiers; Term 2: Nationals

 

Apart from the U20s, all other age group programmes begin in Term 4 with the "Development Squads"

Open Trials take place after Labour Weekend for U12, U14, U16, U18 : where up to 24 athletes are identified to participant in the Development Squad working on skills & understanding with their appointed coaches.

Term 1: Teams are named for the Basketball Pacific Easter Tournament. U16, U18 & U20 will also use Easter as their final trials to select the team/s to compete in the Mid-North Zone Day followed by the Mid-North Qualifiers for Nationals.

U12 & U14 squads will also enter the Basketball Pacific Easter Tournament. Term 2 will continue with development in preparation for their Term 3 campaigns: Mid-North Zone Day; Mid-North Champs and U14s move onto U14 Regionals run by BBNZ

MEN Geysers:  (September - November): Tupu League Qualifiers - Nationals
