2009 Intercity – Week 2
Another week behind us and another exciting round of basketball played. Unfortunately I didn’t make it out to Counties Manukau for the U17s, however was able to get down to Waitakere Trust and take in a couple of games. Despite the games running behind by 20mins at the start of the 3rd round the court controller was doing an excellent job in keeping things moving along.
The organisers at Allen Brewster Recreation Center reported on a good day of competitive basketball, however, sadly while spectators were enjoying their day out a member of the public was playing their own game of smash and grab in the carpark, breaking into 2 vehicles and taking whatever they thought was of value. While its no excuse for the offender, please refrain from leaving any valuable property in your vehicle in full view of these perpetrators ...if they can’t see it, they won’t want it.
A reminder that this weeks games are being played at Massey Leisure Center for the U11s & U19s and Unitec for the U17s.
