The Pacific Slam
is held in Port Macquarie each January for Australian StateDevelopment teams in the Under-15 & Under-U17 age group (December 31
st 2011).Our Basketball Pacific teams participate in the Sydney-based development programme; then
we travel to Port Macquarie for the highlight of our tour, the Pacific Slam. Top class
international basketball for U15 and U17 players in Sydney and Port Macquarie
The Pacific Coast Slam tour is a cooperative initiative of the northern region BBall
Assns. Northland, North Harbour, Counties-Manukau, Waitakere, West Auckland,
Waikato, Thames Valley, Rotorua, and Tauranga City Basketball.
The cost for players to register to trial is $10 per player.
(covers 3-4 hours of BBallskills development, plus off-court review, information on player pathways – all run by
BBall Pacific Regional coaches. Players only need to attend ONE trial
Developed and administered by the same basketball administrators responsible for
the Championships traditionally attended by our New Zealand Koru teams, we are
keen to provide a development opportunity for the many younger junior basketballers
in the Northern region who are bottom-age players in 2011. The tour is administered
by Basketball Pacific’s official agent Calder & Lawson

Regional pre-Tour training camps (to improve individual skills &team development)•
high quality competition against Australian U15 & U17 State teams inPort Macquarie at the Pacific Slam (Jan 17-22)

Tour cost. Anticipated cost based on the 2010 cost may drop from the 2010figure to be approx $2850). This covers all known costs: pre-tour camp,
airfares, taxes, uniforms, accommodation, meals, tournament entry fees, team
photo, supervision.
There will be an opportunity for trialists and their parents and guardians to
ask questions at trial venues.
