Tennis will hold a competition briefing for all team managers on Saturday 12 May at the Garden's Tennis Centre at 1:00pm. This meeting is important for all to attend.

International Participation in Tennis
As at 5 May 2007, Tennis will have the following international teams competing:
Brunei, Philippines, Fiji, Macau and Timor.

Event Details
The 2007 Tennis competition will incorporate an able bodied and wheelchair tournament.
The able bodied events include:
* Men's Open Singles
* Men's Open Doubles
* Women's Open Singles
* Women's Open Doubles
* Mixed Open Doubles
All singles events will include consolation draws.
* Country Point Race
- 1 team from each country represented
- 4 people per team (2 male, 2 female)
- Points format will be similar to that used for ITF Group 1 events
Event formats:
* Singles - Best of 3 Sets
* Consolation - Best of 2 sets
* Doubles - Best of 2 sets
The wheelchair tennis competition will be the best of 3 Sets and incorporate the Oceania Paralympic Championships and consist of the following events:
* Men's Open Singles
* Women's Open Singles
* Open Doubles
Event Location
The tournament will be held at Gardens Tennis Complex which boasts 12 floodlit courts. The venue contains a pro-shop, change room and canteen facilities.
Event Rules
Play will be in accordance with the Tennis Australia Rules of Tennis and Events Disciplinary Policy. A Tournament Referee will be appointed.

How much will transport cost?
The Arafura Games Organisers will provide bus transfers for all teams on arrival and departure in Darwin. An official Games shuttle bus service will operate free of charge between accommodation houses and training and competition venues for all accredited participants.
What about accommodation for my team and officials?
Darwin has a variety of accommodation to suit all budgets, tastes and special requirements. Almost all of Darwin's accommodation houses are located close to the Central Business District (CBD) and a short drive from sporting venues. Accommodation bookings can be made through the Arafura Games Bedbank. Accommodation should be booked early to benefit from early specials and avoid disappointment.
