During the ONOC General Assembly held in Queenstown on 31 March, the Council concluded MOU agreements with a number of International Federations to strenghten relations and improve the mutual assistance provided by both parties in the lead up to and during the Pacific Games. Agreements were signed in Queenstown with International Federations representing Athletics (Oceania Athletics Association President Geoff Gardner) and Tennis (Oceania Tennis Federation Executive Officer Patrick O'Rourke), whilst agreements were signed earlier in 2009 with the International Federations for Lawn Bowls, Table Tennis and Golf. Negotiations continue with many other International Federations on the Pacific Games program, and agreements have subsequently been signed with Squash and Powerlifting.
