Bulldogs Hall of Fame with WRFL flavour
The Western Bulldogs Hall of Fame area at the Whitten Oval leads right into the new WRFL offices, so it is fitting that the first two Legends inducted have close affiliations with the old Footscray District League. Ted Whitten and Charlie Sutton played local footy for Braybrook and Spotswood respectively before they embarked on their league careers with the Bulldogs. Among the inductees into the Hall of Fame werer more former local players including Doug Hawkins (Braybrook), Jack Collins (West Footscray) Harry Hickey (South Footscray) and Alby Morrison (Kingsville).
The Western Region Football League is proud of its heritage with the Bulldogs and equally proud of the players of recent times like Brent Prismall, Callan Ward, Jayden Post and Majak Daw who have started their footy in our competition. We hope they can go on and emulate the likes of Ted and Dougie in their footy careers.
