Yvette Carries the Queens Message

New Zealand 21 and Under Coach and Manawatu Member, Yvette McCausland-Durie was one of a select number of runners to carry the Queen's Baton during it's trip to Palmerston North.

Yvette, a former New Zealand player herself and now 21s coach was thrilled as she ran her leg of the baton's relay around the square.

She has been a long time member of Manawatu, holding various roles including the centres first ever General Manager.

Coupled with her new role with Netball New Zealand in 2006, Yvette will continue with her Tu Toa team who hopes to reapeat on its effort of coming third in the NZ Secondary School Championships again this year, and perhaps go one or two better.

She will also continueing her association with the Feilding club.
