The Tamworth AFL Executive are proud to announce that 2016 will see the dawning of a new era with a Junior Competition kicking off. The competition will be for 12-16 years olds and the Executive is hopeful that each town with a team in the TAFL Senior competition will field a team in the Junior competition. This new initiative will go a long way to filling the void between Auskick (for 5-12 year olds) and Senior football and provide a clear pathway for anyone wanting to choose Aussie Rules as their life sport.
To assist with the promotion of the new competition AFL NSW/ACT will be conducting FREE Come & Try sessions at each of the regional centres that has shown early enthusiasm for entering a team next year. The sessions will be conducted in the week starting Monday 30th November with specific details of the sessions listed below
· Gunnedah on Monday 30th November from 4.30pm – 5.30pm at Wolseley Oval, Conadilly Street, Gunnedah
