With the 12th of June and the clash between the Country Energy Tamworth AFL and AFL North Coast fast approaching, the selection process is in top gear to name the League's best 22. To promote the fixutre and the League, that same unknown 22 have already been nicknamed.
A nickname was sought to identify the League side within the local media, whilst reflecting the support and involvement of Country Energy. After a vigorous think-tank between the League Executive, it can be announced that the Country Energy Tamworth AFL representative side will be known as
THE POWER.
It is hoped that the 22 plus some emergencies to carries the hopes of the League in June will be named shortly. Training is planned at this stage for Sunday the 6th of June at Number One Oval, Tamworth.
NB: League Secretary and long-suffering Port Adelaide supporter Josh McKenzie declares no part of suggesting the name. He does hold some concern that the team this named will look the real deal early before crumbling into a disappointing heap.
