During the next week, NSW/ACT Umpire Carl Fletcher is through the district conducting courses for people interested in taking up umpiring and for players to introduce the new interpretations of law for the 2012 season. He welcomes any players, officials or spectators to come along and take part in the information sessions. He will also conduct school visits in Tamworth and Armidale. This is a great opportunity for any interested people to hear from a great ambassador of AFL.
The evening sessions will be as follows:
Monday 19 March – Tamworth No.1 Oval, Kable Avenue, Tamworth
5pm – 6pm: Umpire Training and information session for anyone interested in knowing more about umpiring
6pm – 7.30pm: Training session with Tamworth Kangaroos and Swans, and any other interested people, including a Laws Interpretations session.
Tuesday 20 March – Bellevue Oval, Handell St, Armidale
5pm – 6pm: Umpire Training and information session for anyone interested in knowing more about umpiring
6.30pm – 7.30pm: Information and Laws Interpretations session with New England Nomads and any other interested people.
