Team information
Teams will consist of three players, who must be nominated in order of skill. Note that we have very few resources for determining the ranking of players, so we depend on teams to do this as accurately as possible. Given the wide range of abilities within and between teams it is important that opponents are as well matched as possible.
The format of a team match is as follows:
3rd ranked players in each team play one another
Doubles 1
2nd ranked players play each other
Doubles 2
1st ranked players play each other.
The two doubles combinations for each team must be different. If a team consists of four players the fourth player may play in one or both doubles.
Team events are as follows:
Over 40 Division 1
Over 40 Division 2
Over 50 Division 1
Over 60 Division 1
Over 60 Division 2
In each division there will be a round robin. If there are fewer than five teams in a category there may be a double round robin.
All matches will be best of 5 advantage games up to 11. Orange 3 star balls will be used (we would like to thank Combined Sports Traders for their kind donation of Stiga balls for this event).
Referee for the event is Rob Crowdy.
