CROQUET PROGRAMME 2 - 7 November 2003
You will need to register prior to participating in the Opening Ceremony or playing croquet. The Registration Centre is located at the Canberra Labour Club, Chandler Street, Belconnen, A.C.T. The relevant operating hours are:
Tuesday 28 October 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. (local participants only)
Wednesday 29 October 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Thursday 30 October 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Friday 31 October 7 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Saturday 1 November 6 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Sunday 2 November 6 a.m. to commencement of play.
Opening Ceremony
All are welcome to attend the Opening Ceremony from mid-afternoon on Saturday 1 November, at Canberra Stadium, Bruce, A.C.T. It is free for registered participants and volunteers, with free parking.
Croquet Competition
The competition will commence on the afternoon of Sunday 2 November, and finish on Friday morning. Games will be played on the Queanbeyan Croquet Club lawn and on the adjoining lawn at the Women's Bowling Club, at Farrer Place, Queanbeyan.
Melbourne Cup Celebration
The Melbourne Cup Celebration will be held at the National Convention Centre in Canberra from 1 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday 4 November. It is free to all registered participants and volunteers, but it is necessary to pre-purchase meal vouchers. Drinks will be available from the bar. No games are scheduled for that afternoon.
Social Croquet under lights
Members of the Queanbeyan Croquet Club invite all players to join them for a social game under lights, from 7 p.m. on Wednesday 5 November 2003.
Medals Presentation
The Mayor of Queanbeyan, Counsellor Frank Pangallo, MBE, will present the medal-winners with their medals at 2.00 p.m. on Friday 7 November 2003.

Minumum Age 35
Sports Fee: $20.00 p.p
Events: (Singles handicap)
Entrants will be grouped into round robin groups. These groups may or may not be further divided according to age. This will depend on the number of participants.
The organising committee reserves the right to modify events conducted as a result of unexpected numbers of participants. It is expected that all participants will play at least 5 singles games. A maximum of 44 competitors will be accepted.
The Queanbeyan Croquet Club will offer social games under lights.
