Darwin Airport Resort Continues Sponsorship of DBA League Men and Women
The Darwin Basketball Association is pleased to announce that the Darwin Airport Resort is continuing its sponsorship of the DBA League Men and Women in 2011.
The Darwin Airport Resort has provided generous support to the DBA over the past 3 years – sponsoring the League competition, as well as the Darwin Airport Resort All-Stars. The All-Stars competed at a number of overseas tournaments:
2006 Brunei Cup Darwin Airport Resort All Stars Silver Medal
2007 Brunei Cup Darwin Airport Resort All Stars Fourth place
2008 Brunei Cup Darwin Airport Resort All Stars Challenge Series with Singapore Slingers
2009 Surabaya Invitational Darwin Airport Resort All Stars Gold Medal
2010 NBL Challenge Darwin Airport Resort All Stars - Invitational to play Adelaide 36ers
DBA President Paul Feeney looks forward to the continued support, saying “I am very happy to continue the relationship with Darwin Airport Resort. There is substantial synergy with the accommodation services they provide, especially the location, which match the needs of the DBA and the extended basketball community who travel to Darwin for things such as Australian and NT Championships.”
