DBA AGM - DATE CHANGED
The DBA AGM has been officially changed from Sunday May 30th to Sunday June 13th starting at 10am at the Casuarina Club.
For various unforeseen reasons the majority of Board members are not available on the 30th May and it would certainly be of benefit to the Association to make sure the people who have been on the board over the past 12 months are available. Additionally, the current board made a commitment last year to provide the financials before the AGM and due to circumstances beyond their control as yet DBA have not received the audited financials back from the auditor.
Business Affairs have approved this change of date and provided DBA with an exemption from not holding the AGM in the first five months of the year as per the associations act. The exemption and change of dates also ensures DBA remains in line with any requirements related to presenting the audited financials.
A new advertisement advertising the AGM in the NT News (as per constitution) will appear in next Saturday’s (29th May) newspaper.
