Healthy People Needed For Research
Menzies school of health research are looking for healthy people living in Darwin and surrounding suburbs (preferably people who have lived here for an extended period of time). The exclusion criteria are the known risk factors for melioidosis, namely:
Diabetes, Chronic kidney disease, Chronic lung disease
Consume > 6 alcoholic drinks daily men
Consume >4 alcoholic drinks daily women
age <18 yrs > 60 years
If anyone is interested they can contact Gemma Aylward on 0449287760 or gemmaaylward@doctors.org.uk Gemma can come to the DBA at a convenient time for the participants questionnaire/blood samples which take approximately 5 minutes.
