NOTICE FROM WARRNAMBOOL BASKETBALL INCORPORATED
Warrnambool Basketball Incorporated Board Members
Warrnambool Basketball Incorporated is seeking nominations for positions on the WBI Board, with a term of office of 2 years, commencing 9th November 2016.
Warrnambool Basketball Incorporated’s objectives are to:
- Represent the interests of basketball and all involved in basketball within the Association, the Warrnambool region and at state and national level.
- Provide individuals with opportunities to maximise their potential by competing in the highest level of basketball possible, given their own ability.
- Promote, develop and encourage participation in the sport of basketball.
Nominations are sought from members of the basketball community and wider community who can help guide Warrnambool Basketball Inc. into the future. Nominees with a capacity to lead and implement change and build partnerships will be valued. Individuals with strong management and networking skills together with experience in finance, business development or strategic thinking are encouraged to apply. An interest in basketball is also important.
The WBI Constitution states that the following positions are available for election:
President, Treasurer, Junior Committee Representative, Seahawks & Mermaids Representative, one Officer of Responsibility.
Due to vacancies on the Board, the following positions are also available for election:
Vice President, Secretary, one Officer of Responsibility.
PLEASE NOTE: All members of the Warrnambool Basketball Incorporated Board are required to have a satisfactory Victoria Police criminal record check and a Working with Children Check completed.
