2012 UNITED FILIPINO ORGANIZATION 14 AND UNDER BASKETBALL LEAGUE KICK OFF THEIR SEASON
The United Filipino Organization 2012 Edition Basketball League had kicked off their season today Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.
The 14 and Under League and the 15 to 20 league kicked today in the morning while the Masters Division kicked off later in the afternoon before the start of the opening ceremonies of the Micronesian Basketball Tournament. A total of 3 teams will be playing in the 14under as part of UFO's development program while the 15 to 20 league will have a total of 8 teams and in the Masters Division a total of 8 teams will be playing.
The Open Division which actually have 8 teams was put on the side for the time being since most of the teams who wanted to play decided not to join the UFO Open League because of the new ground rules of UFO which is promoting a DRUG FREE league. Games will be played every Tuesdays and Thursdays for the Masters which starts at 6:30pm followed by a second game at 8:00pm, while the Youth League will be played every Saturdays.
