Level 0 Coaching Course
The first part of coaching conducted was a theory session so the participants were taken through the coaches manual which also involved a written exercise to plan a training session.
Today, the continuation of the course will be a practical session in which all the participants will perfrom different types of fundamentals skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting with layups and some offensive and defensive transitions.
The coaches will be accredited as level 0 coach which is the beginners level but this will lead to a level 1 accreditation in the near future. In order for them to assist the basketball federation and the NBDO they must have the level 0 accreditation. This will enable them to go out into the community especially the schools to start coaching.
