The Solomon Island Basketball Federation is organising a High School Basketball Championship for schools in and around Honiara, during the 1 week school break, which will be kick off on Monday 15th to Friday 19th September. Nine schools had entered to take part in the one week championship. The championship is proudly sponsored by one of the private medical centre in Honiara owned by the President of SIBF Dr. Cyral Pitakaka (AJS Private Medical Centre). During the tournament , the SIBF will select its U/20 yrs Boys & Girls squad to participate in the U/20 yrs Oceania Basketball Confederation`s tournament in Coff`s Harbour in July 2004.
