It was another intense week of basketball action in the HBA Transworld SUPER 4 KNOCKOUT Competition at the Multi Purpise Hall last Sunday. With 3 closley contested matches throughout the day the crowd was thrilled and entertained all the way through with some of the best male and female players in Solomon Islands on the court, and the opportunity to win some great Cash prizes during the half time shoot outs.

The first match of the day saw ANDEL take on LR Sosa in the womens competition, in a match full of spirit and sportsmanship ANDEL came out winners 33 to LR Sosa 23.

The second match was a very tough contest between power house Sunrise and last seasons champions Roberta Roses. In a match that saw Sunrise jump out to an early lead, the tension and excitement gradually built as Roberta Roses clawed there way back to take the lead in the final quarter. The crowd was on the edge of their seats as the two teams battled it out, and Sunrise eventually regained their composure to win the match. Sunrise 29 to Roberta Roses 24.

The final match of the day was in the mens pool which saw CYO taking on QQQ Marist. The match was another example of the strength and competitiveness of the SUPER 4 Basketball Competition in Solomon Islands. QQQ Marist demonstrated some terrific team play to find the open man for the easy shot, while CYO used their speed and athletic ability to play some first class basketball. With several lead changes during the 2nd half, QQQ Marist eventually held on to win the match by 1 point! QQQ Marist 50 to CYO 49.

A big thank you also goes to all of the referees and scorbench officials who have done such a fantastic job over the past months, as every game has been refereed, scored and played at a professional standard.

After completion of the preliminary rounds, the final placings are as follows:
