Honiara Mini Games Basketball Competition
The Honiara Mini Game sport carnival is set to kick off next week, and basketball will be featured as one of the core sport in the 1 week sporting events. The mini games is part of the sponsored Australian Sports Commission project to Solomon Islands to the provinces, including Honiara. Honiara City will be hosting its piliminary round games on the 5th Sept, to 12th Sept, and there final stages will held on the end of September.
15 teams have entered to participated in the basketball challenge from communities in and around Honiara, and the organizing committee is still anticipating for more team(s) to register by this week. The Solomon Island Basketball federationwill be technically assist the Local Organizing Committee of the games, and would likle to thanks the LOC to take the initiative to organize such event.
