Australian High Commision Basketball Project
The National Basketball Development Officer had submited the project through the Australian High Commission to fund basketball court in the Temotu and Makira Province last year as part of the Solomon Island Basketball Federation development plan in the Provinces. The project is basically to construct outdoor court in Makira and Temotu in preparation towards the Solomon Game which Makira will host next year. The AHC had offer $15,000 AUD to assist in constructing the two outdoor court ahead of the Solomon Game, it is hope that the same assistance will also given to other provinces as part of the plan. The Solomon Island Basketball Federation would like to sincerely thank the AHC for its ongoing assistance towards the development of basketball in the country. The project is estimated to complete by mid this year.
