HBA Super 4 Knockout League starts 1st October!
The HBA Super 4 Basketball Knockout will be starting this Sunday 1st October 2006 after securing sponsorship of $6,000 from Transworld Coporation. The opening ceremony will commence at 11am, with 3 games scheduled for the first day of play at 12noon, 2pm and 4pm at the Multi Purpose Hall, Honiara. Games will then be played every Sunday for the following 2 months. The competition comprises of 4 Mens and 4 Womens teams competing in a Round Robin format to establish position for the teams entering the knockout finals to play for the handsome cash prize. The teams competing are:

HBA president Goldie Kari said that "this is going to be a great competition with 4 high quality teams in the both the men's and women's competition. With the majority of National Squad, and U/20 National Squad players registered to play with different teams, every match could be decided by only 1 basket."
All members of the public are encouraged to attend with entry only $2 to view 3 exciting, high quality basketball matches and also the opportunity to take part in some competitions and win some great prizes!
