Teuila Basketball Championship 2017
The SNBF organised the Teuila Championships for this year and it was one of the most successful event for this year. This year, there were three teams from Savaii, one open women from Tutuila, one under 18 from RLSS College, and teams from the two association East and West.
The tournament was on for a whole week from 1:45pm Monday - Wednesday and 12:45pm on Thursday and Friday. There were three teams from Savaii (U18 girls, Open Women & Open Men), one Open WOmen team from American Samoa (Swalla), one U18 Boys from RLLS College, four teams each divisions from East and West. The results of the FINALS are:
Under 18 Girls - EAST 26 VS 22 WEST
Under 18 Boys - WEST 20 VS 29 EAST
Open Women - EAST 28 VS 29 WEST
Open Men - WEST 40 VS 48 EAST
The games were tough and so as the competition. Our Most Valuable Players (MVP) for U18 Girls: Utumalie Vaimauga, U18 Boys: Neueli Leiitufia, Open Women : La-Ree Team, & Open Men : Theodore Mc Farland. It was a fun day and each team had something in return. Looking forward for the other Teuila next year 2018.
