FIBA Oceania staff heading for Apia
The Samoa Games are the major test event for all sports in preparation for the South Pacific Games in August this year. Volunteers in all facets of the basketball program will be practising their skills to ensure they are ready for the SPG's.
Regan will help with the scorebench and statistics programs, Jon will conduct education sessions and assess the performance of the referees, while Judy will assist in the competition management via FIBA Organizer and the website.
The Basketball games will be held at the new purpose built basketball stadium, which will host the South Pacific Games later this year.
A practice schedule has already been uploaded to the Samoa Basketball Federation website to ensure there are no technical hitches. Once the FIBA Oceania team hits Samoan soil the competition will be changed to the proper competition schedule.
